Does it ever end???

Ok so I called our current mortgage company about their streamline re-finance. Basically if you aren't taking out equity you can streamline the loan and you can do up to 95% loan to value...which is great since we're at about 92.5%.

Well they won't use the appraisal we just paid for even though the one lending company is willing to turn it over. I tried telling the lady that the guy that did it this time is the guy they hired 2 years ago when it went through them.

Someone told me yes they could then someone told me no. So all in all they said no.
Then she said the interest rate was 5% which is a little better then what we were going to get. But that in order to do this something with the PMI Mr. B's credit score had to be a certain amount...which he was 5 over however I was worried that after this most recent lender's checking his credit would hurt him because I've heard that.

Well our current lender cleared it up and said only after 3 or more inquiries does it start to make your credit drop. So we're good there.

However....we'll have to pay 500 more. 100 for the application and 400 for the appraisal even though we just shelled out 300 with this one lender...so the one lender is trying to see if they can do an FHA out of state which theres probably about like a 5% chance that will really happen.

So if not we'll just stick with the folks that we are with now. The only bummer is if we went with a different lender we could get our escrow which is about 2k whereas if we stay with our current they deduct it from our loan amount...which would save us money over time but we wanted to use that 2k to pay down one of our credit cards because then we'll be credit card debt free by this fall.

But if it's the end of the year well then it is what it is.

I just do NOT want to be on hold again and I do NOT want to be on the phone all day.

anywhos thats it.
peace

Appraisal Schmaisal

Ok so the post got eaten.
So this will be shortened.

Good and Bad news.
Good news our house has about 18k in equity.

Bad news it wasn't enough for the loan we were trying to do. Since it was out of state they could only do a conventional and it could only be for 90% of the value.

I checked out some Regions stuff and they do have a fast track re financing and if you don't do equity then you can go up to 95% which we would be under for sure.

So tomorrow after I fax over the authorization form I'll call and see whats going on.

She works hard for her money!

So you better treat her right Mr. B! haha

So yesterday Mr. B had to go out of town on a Sunday bleh but I had signed up to work an event at a local all in one type of place. This particular one was a vendor/bridal expo. I worked in heels for 7.5 hours! I wish I would've known to bring in flats and then change because I was running all over!

It was busy for awhile and then the last 4 hours just drug on...especially since I'm not used to working on the weekends. So this week I'll put in 47.5 hours. Luckily my day job is an office job but I wore flats today because my feet hurt so bad.

I miss Mr. B already boo!
But I'm hoping since he's gone I'm going to go try out a gym. It's always easier when he's gone since I don't have to rush home to make sure dinner is ready at 6. And not that he requires dinner to be ready for 6 but that's just a little thing I like to do for him since he works so hard...aww isn't that sweet. Well we're still newleyweds so ask me in a few months! Nah I've been doing this for him since we've been together which speaking of April 2nd will be our 3 year anniversary of being together. It seems like a lot longer but time has really flown by.

I'm anxiously anticipating what the appraiser said. We have to close before April 10th to lock in the rate for our re-finance and it's getting close. Especially with Mr. B traveling a lot he won't have time to get to the title company on a whim.

But I'm sure it will all work itself out. We're hardworking law abiding people so I'm not worried.

Well that's it!

Let me introduce myself....

It is my first blog entry on our journey. This blog will be about Mr. B's and my life. I'm just letting you know now we're very boring people haha....well except for football season.

Mr. B and I got married May 24th, 2008 in New Orleans. It was truly a magical day. I just wish I would've hired a day of coordinator, and that it wasn't so darn hot...but it's Louisiana and that's part of the magic of living here! Great skin in the summer haha

This coming month is full of things so it should be interesting and then the countdown to Europe! We'll be seeing my aunt, uncle, and cousins there! We'll be heading to Rome and then Paris...they live in Brussels so that alone will be great. We'll also drive to some other countries and meet up with my best friend who's stationed in Germany with the Air Force.

Well Mr. B had to leave to go to Florida today which was a bummer. He'll be gone all week. But that's how we make the money so that's the sacrifice we take.
