Heard It! 4 Month Check Up

So yesterday was my 4 month check up. Not much to say. Heart Beat sounded good and I had to give more blood for our quad screening.

The test of course won't tell us if the baby has downs, spina bifida, trisomy and hmm I can't remember the other one but it will tell us if we're at a greater risk and then at that point for some of them we would do a scan or have H come in and give blood to see if we're carriers of some things.

We both just didn't feel to good about doing an amnio and since I don't have any of the triggers that would generally make a doctor urge us to do an amnio we didn't want to.

The baby did move some from the last time she did the doppler...from the left to the middle.

So then I went home and went on a search to find Butterball's HB. I FOUND IT! haha it was so cool except that little thing kept moving around...so every time I got it I had to go on a search again.

It was middle to right. I tried timing the heart beat but I was trying to keep track of it, hold the doppler, and in my right hand hold my touch screen phone (not a big cool iphone) and hit start and stop but the buttons were tiny haha

But I it was about 157ish...I'm going to have Mr. B help me when he gets home.

Speaking of home...I want to go there now. I am feeling very faint. I think it's because I had two doughnuts and some chocolate milk which I never have and maybe I'm over inundated with sugar...I'm trying to drink water and think I may go lay down under my desk haha...sounds silly but I think that may work.

It didn't work. I had a bean bag and a blanket and still nothing.
I have so much work to do so I'll still have to work from home but it's got to be better then this.

So June 24th we find out the sex of the baby! I can't wait! It seems like so far to wait but we've already waited this long what's another month haha

Ok so we all know I have a Doppler and I still can't hear Butterball's heartbeat...probably because I got a 35 dollar one haha

But I can hear that lil Butterball moving around in there! And when it was doing flips and what not it sounded like a fish passing by in water haha

But I could tap on a spot and the baby would react to it....so freaking cool.

I just kept tapping. I'm sure Butterball was like "Could you quit f'n with my home please"? haha

I'm not feeling that hot but really am in a coma...I sooo want to leave early today.

I ran to Target to get a few things and saw the clearance rack for the women's/younger whatever...anyways it was like 50% off so I started looking at noticed they put maternity stuff there too!

So I got a long sleeve for later and a cute tunic cover up and a white spaghetti strap to go under that and I can wear it with my black leggings which will be a perfect outfit to wear tomorrow weeee

I have so much to do at the house since I didn't do a lick of anything last night.

And I didn't even blog about how Monday was Mr. B and I's 2 year anniversary or did I? I guess I'm in the stages of forgetting stuff in pregnancy haha oh well...we love each other...good enough right?!

I have to go try and do work or I will fall asleep.

Baby Furniture

Today we went to a local baby furniture store and well the prices were higher to say the least haha but really great quality. We actually came across some that was on sale and the crib's price is only 30 more then the one we liked online.

The first picture below we're getting that changing table and obviously use it after the baby doesn't require diapers.



And below will be our crib and we're going to get that hutch set as well. In espresso. It's funny because we both said we wanted dark cherry until we saw the Espresso on the floor model and really liked it.

The crib is 100 off and so is the changing table through May so we'll be getting those before the month is up which will have to be next weekend.

The hutch well we'll have to save I think haha. This all is honestly about double then what I had figured and I know on the next one we'll be like let's go cheaper haha but we're doing the convertible and it's something that is solid that the kid can have for a long time so it's worth it.

I drank some orange juice about 20 minutes ago and I'm really regretting it. Not heartburn....Tummy is just not happy le sigh

Week 14

How far along? 14 weeks

How big is baby? a lemon

Weight gain/loss? Well I'm not weighing myself at home since it's a little off from the doc...all I can say is I was down a pound the last visit. I'll let you know in 2 weeks

Maternity clothes? Been living in dresses but finally bought some maternity stuff on ebay weee

Stretchies? none yet thank goodness but I did buy some butter to start using now

Sleep? Getting it...always want it haha the only issue I have is they say you should sleep on your side and I tend to go back to my back

Best moment this week? Really seeing a good size baby bump

Movement? None yet

Food cravings? Still clementines, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes

Food adversions/foods that make me sick? eh it comes and goes everyday for something different

Gender? I’m still feeling girl…even though my May board says boy :)

Labor signs? none.

Belly button in or out? Innie

What I miss? Still going with not feeling sick

What I am looking forward to? Hearing the babies heartbeat on my doppler....possibly picking out some baby furniture this weekend

Milestones? All the books say we’re in second tri officially now (for those late books using the 14w milestone). And seeing Butterball actually looks like a person. (Stealing this from Jin)

New things this week? umm feeling like I'm really pregnant. Like when people ask and I say 14 weeks they no longer say "ohhh you have a really long ways to go"

Randoms? I'm still waiting to hear from HR and since work is kind of in limbo due to the FCC it should be interesting.

Weekly Wisdom? It's not wisdom but I'm getting a lot more people saying oh I was sick the entire pregnancy so hopefully it goes away for you...I DONT WANT TO HEAR THAT

Freakout Moment? Last night I had a meltdown. Mr. B is out of town which is honestly fine by me these days but he called and asked how I was and I don't know why but I started crying...he didn't know it but I got off the phone and just had a little pity party and then I was ok. I just think I'm overwhelmed with the work thing, and the sickness thing is just wearing me thin.
But I'm good now!
